The New Lenox Chamber held the 3rd Annual Mind Over Miles 8K Run and & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, September 30th at Lincoln-Way West High School. This special event for adults and children supports the Chamber's annual scholarship awards. Thanks to all who participated! 8K Certified Course

The 8K Certified Course features professional chip timing with real time results at the finish line. Medals will be awarded for 1st - 3rd place in each of the CARA age group categories as well as the overall male and female finishers. Participants will also receive performance shirts and a participant goodie bag full of samples, coupons and certificates from local businesses. Strollers and pets are not allowed on the course. Walkers must maintain a 15:00 mile pace

1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk takes place on the track around the football field; allowing the 8K finishers to cheer for or participate in the 1 Mile with family and friends. There are sure to be a few surprise characters hitting the track along the way. Strollers are welcome. 1 Mile paid participants will receive a cotton shirt and goodie-bag. Participants age 8 and under will not receive a t-shirt and goodie bag unless registered as a paid participant but they will receive a finishers ribbon.

All participants and spectators are invited to visit vendor displays and enjoy free pizza, entertainment and refreshments during the post-race party and awards ceremony.
